That video was AMAZING. Adele needs to see this. She could've done so much with that song.... Seriously, so beautiful. One of my favorite things I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing that with us, Cockney!
EDIT: I expect this girl to deliver for any future singles without videos, because we all know we're getting them.

Adele is much too woke to even think about using a POC like some kind of prop for a "statement".
He should take his ugly ass muppet jacket back and take several seats.

Adele would never say a "Schumer-level" dumb statement. He should focus on his movies.
Edit: also the nerve of him saying "i wish that it was my idea", he's a one messy queen.

So what are y'alll pointing out then? What are you guys so mad about?

I agree, we are stretching it quite a bit here. I'm sure Xavier is a bit pressed though about not being nominated

And I agree with what Maddox is saying. It's more the fact that he made the statement about casting a black actor two days after the Grammys, and he's notorious for being petty like this. It's obvious that he was pissed that Bey got a nomination and Adele didn't. But there's nothing wrong with casting a black actor in Adele's video, and I'm glad she did it. I don't think any of us are saying that's wrong; it was just the timing of his statement, really.
|
I agree that the timing of the statement is him just being salty. But unless if I am misreading into this, I see some comments that are making out that Adele would never make a statement or do something like what he said I would actually applaud Adele for saying what he said, it shows Adele is racially aware of what's going on

But there's no police brutality message that's the point, it shows no BLM message whatsoever
It's just an interracial couple like....
One of those music facts accounts posted it on Twitter and she's getting dragged in the replies.....

I agree the video doesn't deal with BLM, but I took her video as a support for inclusion, which is in a way against the **** that has been going on recently I see why you guys think he is a mess for saying that though, but what if Adele actually said that ? What would you think then?

For one of the biggest and most commercial white artists in the world to have a black man as her lover definitely sends a strong message to her audience that love is love, no matter the skin colour. I think it definitely sent a message that black lives do matter, and that those who don't respect that she respects black men can essentially **** off.
I'm sad that you can't see that message, but it's hardly surprising considering your whiteness.

If Xavier is to be believed, I think he probably simplified what Adele said a bit. To purport that Adele was being "color-blind" and just happened to choose a Black individual as her lover in the MV is probably not true imo. I'm sure Adele had her reason s when creating the video

Omg you must be kidding me.....
You are unbelievable.... lord.
The lack of comprehension and you twisting my words into making it what you want it to be is disgusting.
Please go back to the threads of when the video was released and check my "whiteness" you absolute ignorant fool.
You are so blinded you don't realise what you are saying and even contradict your own self. I feel sorry for you. I'll have no excuse of a human being like you even imply what your ass is trying to. So you can take your horrible self and **** all the way off.
You are not worthy of anymore of my time.
Don't bother replying you are on ignore list.

Honestly, I think all that we're trying to say is that the video doesn't deal with Black Lives Matter. If anything, it promotes racial inclusion because it presents an interracial couple, which I commend Adele for. But because of Xavier's timing and his habits of being a petty bitch, his comments were perceived as simply, "Adele made a social statement, too. Why wasn't she nominated?" At least, that's what I'm taking from this. I don't think anyone here has a problem with Adele pushing for a biracial couple to appear in the video; I actually really like that she did that, because we know she did it for the right reasons.

Yeah I realized what you guys meant. I just want to point out that at a first glance although it may seem like the Hello video doesn't have to deal anything with BLM, I feel like it does because it shows support for inclusion. Although Bey Admired comes off a bit raunchy with his comments, he made a valid point in that Adele used her star power to make a statement that love should transcend the superficial barrier which is race.
