The Beatles would release over 20 singles in a year, probably none of them were popular - they just had huge sales from fans.

Elvis got most of his #1's before the Hot 100 was even Hot 100 or something. They count his old #1's under some old inaccurate formula.

Mariah is self-explanatory.

Rihanna's was spilled.

Some artists could "cheat" all they want and still not have half of Mariah's #1's

My All debuted at #2, regardless of a reduction.

Thank God I Found You jumped #22 to #2. It still had to work it's #1.

Touch My Body was going to go #1 with good sales regardless, E=MC2 proved it with her highest album sales first week in her career.

One Sweet Day remained atop for 16 weeks after it's repression, so it was gonna go #1 regardless.

Not surprised out of all the songs from 2000 I never heard TGIFY (the original version) at all until years later. I didn't know that she manipulated over shipments of albums though, well at last she's a good songwriter. And she is not the first nor the last to do that it is what it is, I give her a pass. About "One Sweet Day",

I think most songs dedicated to AIDS victims performed exceedingly well in the 90s because it was such a huge awful thing back then (it still is, though).

Y'all are so QUICK to call Mariah a cheater. If her label was INTO CHEATING she would have 25+ #1's. They just did what it would take to get her an extra spot up, Loverboy was the only DESPERATE case.

"Forever" was never released Physically but still went #9 on Airplay. "Butterfly" was never released Physically, but still went #16 on Airplay. If "Thank God I Found You" went #1 with it's sales and being #15 on Airplay, then those 2 would have also been #1's if released Physically.

That's 20 #1's already. "Loverboy" would've been #1 had Tommy not purposely discounted "Bootylicious" to block it. "Can't Let Go" wouldn't have also peaked at #2, if they didn't take it off shelves to get album sales.


That's 22 #1's. If we got more into this, Mariah could've cheated her way a lot more.
