I genuinely think all of you overestimate the power of Phillip's fanbase. It's a bunch of teenage girls, yeah, but I'd be willing to bet money on their dedication when put up against Jessica's stanbase. She has a legitimate shot at winning.

I'll be watching for pure enjoyment next week knowing that both of them should get signed with Interscope. Jessica should really have the title of American Idol though... she has the voice to fill the shoes. Plus if Phillip doesn't win it should give him more time to churn out strong solo material—we all know the winners are fast tracked and rarely put out great debuts.

Hon we both know that Joshua was never finale bound. I'm honestly surprised he made it this far. He didn't have the stanbase of a Phil or Jessica. He was my favorite, and people like me aren't motivated to vote on a frequent basis.

Yeah, WE knew that but I think the judges and most of the public thought he was finale bound based on the praise he received throughout.

I'm kind of surprised too. I thought he would have a similar fate to the other church queen from last season.

I don't think it's an overestimation, it's just that Jessica's stanbase just happens to be equally as powerful. I don't think there has ever been such a powerful counterpart to the fabled WGWG finalist since Adam Lambert, and even he wasn't as strong because he had a lot of anti-votes working against him.

I still think Phillip takes it, but I won't be shocked if Jessica wins. All opinions are subject to change after the performances next week, of course.
