Part 1: Introduction
8,000 people. 8,000 angry, sadistic faces. That's how many were there that day. She can still remember the hairs on her arm standing up from the chill that evening. She can remember the deafening sound of screams. The sharp inhale of icy breath as she adjusted to her surroundings. The game had ended, the crowd growing restless, slowly descending out of the stadium. "C'mon!" a jolt from the left, rooting her firmly back down on the ground. She quickly sat back, allowing the men stood beside her to walk past and exit the row. She sat there for an hour. She watched every single person exit the football stadium that evening. As the lights began to turn out, she broke from her trance and looked down, picking up a purse off the ground. Rooting around inside, she pulled out tissues, a couple of coins, lipstick, and a pocket mirror. There was no I.D. She flipped open the pocket mirror, and looked intensely at her own reflection. She poked and pulled at her face, praying for some sort of acknowledgement or memory. "Who am I?" she whispered, as she clasps the mirror shut.
