The Dark Horse video should've been dark & witchy. Imagine her as a sexy, mysterious witch living in some creepy cottage in the middle of the woods & she meets this hot lumberjack guy & casts all kinds of spells to get him to fall for her. She could still have some fun stuff, like some broomstick pole dancing or some spells backfiring on her or hanging out with her animal familiars or something, like it doesn't have to be all serious. Then at the end as the song climaxes she sets up this amazing ritual and conjures up a perfect storm in the woods (meanwhile she's like, levitating in the air & being possessed for extra controversy) as the guy gets struck by lightning or something. It would've been so good, ugh!
I know you're thirsty baby standing in the heat
I've got the juicy fruit, those sweet peaches and cream
You wanna wet your whistle, come and have a drink (ice cold)
We're looking in the same direction
But you don't see what I see
Just a half moon in your perception
It looks full to me
Oh, my head is caught, caught in clouds
But you're buried so, so far down
When my birthday came, you would not remember it
When I got my period, you were inconsiderate.
But tables turn, and it's great to be on top
Got you great to appreciate the good that you've got
I leave the gas on
Walk the alleys in the dark
Sleep with candles burning
I leave the door unlocked
I'm weaving a rope and
Running all the red lights
Did I get your attention
'Cause I'm sending
All the signs
Let me the first
To wish you the worst
Cause I think you deserve each other
Let me be the curse
That creeps under your skin
Until your heart caves in
And you wish she was me
So just relax
Baby lay back
And let's just spent the night, spend the night
Undo my dress
Let down my hair
And let's just spend the night, spend the night
Oh if I could freeze this moment in my heart-shaped locket
Wear you around my neck so you won't be forgotten
I would, I would

I’ll ride where the wind wants to take me
Leaving lovers in the dust every city
'Cause my heart was like a ghost town baby
And now I've met a man that breaks me
