That wasn't my point, according to these "outraged" fans, her decision of not going because of the virus wouldn't seem legit since other female performers who regardless of them getting pregnant or not, do not express any concern over this issue and could possibly tour there.
That's why, like you said, it's good for her to stay silent.
Not this becoming owe vs. not owe, the single longest-standing argument in the history of the Adele base...
Nothing Brazil has done for her equates to her risking having microcephalic children. Completely putting aside the inappropriate things many of them do that CC brought up, it wouldn't be ethical to make her to go anywhere if that was a known reality.
Under some of your theories, shouldn't she also apologize to Japan too, since she directly said she "can't wait" to come to them this year? Or is the worth of a country's feelings only dependent on total album sales? The number of times she decided not to respond to fans from there screaming and excitedly throwing their flag at her with 'ugh, I'd never go there'?
Well if she did say she was going to Japan then its in the same boat Also do we actually know if she said this? Lets not try and belittle our side/argument by equating our beliefs to only caring about album sales...
I'm just saying if she said she is going to do something but then suddenly doesn't plan to do it anymore she should let her fans know why. I know this would draw controversy among fans but who cares I just find it bothersome that she let a fan know she will go to Brazil but now she is going to leave them in the dark about it if she doesn't say anything at all about it.
At this point its whatever, we will see if she acknowledges it or not and that'll be that
Honestly, it's just really irritating the amount of times Adele says she's going to do something and then doesn't do it. When she says she has a fickle heart in "Don't You Remember," she's really not lying. I mean, I know she didn't necessarily confirm anything, but like some of you guys have brought up, the fact that she says this stuff is a bad idea because people could misinterpret it and think she's actually going to do it. They take her word for it, and honestly, she's so back-and-forth that you can't depend on it. I just feel really bad that everyone else had the opportunity to see her live, and South American/Asian fans don't have that opportunity.
That being said, I know there are plenty of other major artists who have fans in those countries that don't tour there. I just hope that, at some point, those fans get to see Adele live. I know how disappointed I would be if I didn't get to see her at all, especially after she implied that she'd be coming.
I agree that she shouldn't say anything because, at this point, I think it would only hurt her image, but I do feel bad for the hardcore fans that knew she made those comments and wanted her to tour in their countries/expected her to.
Also, I hate to keep bringing this up, but it pisses me off so much that ATRL is still saying that 25 had no impact and that "the era was done after 'Hello.'" That stupid thread about how the political undertones of Lemonade could help it win Album of the Year got a bunch of stupid, delusional responses from Beyoncé fans who were like, "Adele's album didn't have any impact; Lemonade, however...." Like, it's SO annoying. I get it that her fans think the sun shines out of her ass, but it pisses me off that they keep denying the fact that 25 was a massive album/era. It would serve Beyoncé's fans right if she lost Album of the Year again....

I can agree with the reason why bring it up and stir up the pot if not many people are talking about it right now. I like this balanced argument

People here will always say Adele doesn't have impact Its their way of holding onto thinking their fave is the best etc etc etc

Yeah. She talks about it at 5:00 and 5:29.
I think it's silly to go demanding justice for one and not for the other. Even more, I don't think an apology is in order for either, simply because we don't have a right to an official explanation for everything she does, and in this situation it would likely create further confusion and unrest. We can guess in Brazil it was because of Zika, in Japan it was due to a lack of demand, etc. In the end, she never scheduled, announced, or sold tickets for tickets in these countries. An official statement will never change that.

She changes her mind, yes. Perhaps more than other people, or perhaps most people don't get paid attention to constantly, so nobody notices it as much. It's better than she sticks her foot in it in a bunch in this area than never says anything out of fear it won't come true or it'll piss someone off. I think the times she's come through on something positive she said she would, or something she once said she never would, define her more than the times she hasn't.

Thank you, I try!

Honestly, same, and this is coming from someone who stans her and loves Lemonade.

I think you're right. I mean, at this point, we honestly should not believe anything she says until it comes true, to be honest. How have we not learned our lessons yet?
