I know this may be an unpopular opinion but I personally feel "Farewell" is perfect for an early April/May/June release. It's a song about letting go and these months are graduation ready. Of course Rihanna could do the cliche' "bye loved one" video but why not attach it to something soooooo many people can relate to? The lyrics just beg for a huge epic final days of school treatment a la Vitamin C's "Graduation" or even Carrie Underwoods "Don't Forget to Remember Me"...

even if it wasn't given the full single treatment with promotion and adds...maybe a montage viral video would do enough...what do you guys think?

I want her to do a video about her grandpa or father passing away. To show him with Alzheimer and Rihanna singing 'Even though it kills me that you have to go... I know I would be sadder if u never hit the road!'

The lyrics fit SO MUCH... and that would be a GREAT video concept. Original, strong and very relatable.

I love this whole concept, but her father hasn't passed away as far as i know....did i miss something?....

True...the "death" idea had came to me too. My thought for those lyrics would be like her seeing her HS boyfriend signing on to play basketball at a far away school [verse 1]...then her girl bff gets an acceptance letter from Yale [verse 2]...then at the bridge she's at graduation with the climax being the ceremonial cap throw...lmao all of this is happening as she goes through a yearbook in her 1st year of college and old scenes innerloop with her backstory

so many possibilities with this epic track! but even like i said...she could do so much as the song can be interpreted so many different ways
