The no promo is her own fault, or her labels and is the catalyst for all of this. Radio was very supportive of DW and of IY up until recently. Her album sales are on par with ME's despite less exposure.
I can't really say the odds are stacked against her when her and her team continuously screw up. They did all the promo on release week and then practically gave up on the era. Cancelling Rock in Rio and declining the DNC were huge mistakes. Waiting so long to send IY to radio was dumb af. And tbqfh, the whole Bunny image/refusal to switch up her style this era probably put some people off. Her current managers are hacks (sorry Mama Joan).
I'd be fine with Side To Side being the next single tbh (Everyday can slay at anytime while Side To Side is perfect for the warmer months). Ariana can premiere the video and perform it at the VMAs!
I thought for sure western Europe would be here for it at least since they're more into dance pop than the US. As I said before, the trend this era is that Ariana's singles aren't very global but her album is extremely global.
