People need to stop playing dumb. We all participate on this website nearly daily and we all know how this goes. Snippets get leaked, people claim its a demo or whatever, then the official version comes out and its basically the same as the snippets if not just more polished. Just enough with the ********. This is what the song sounds like. Maybe the finished version is a little more polished, maybe the finished version has a slightly louder beat or whatever, but essentially this is what it sounds like. Its not going to be some drastic difference that completely changes the vibe of the track like most of you seem to be implying.

CRTFY has a rocksteady instrumental, Jamaican island rock similar to No Doubt's past work as an example. What else has that vibe right now? Thats why theres people in here saying they don't like it. Its unfamiliar and unexpected. Its not some cliche dance song that they can hate on for being too typical or like because it is typical and its not some minimal electro song with a white-friendly urban twist that they can fit into the whole minimal pop wave of Lorde/A$AP/Lana/Beyonce/etc.

Of course this is just me judging by these little tiny snippets. Snippets or demos are never ever ever that far from the finished product so im sure it will sound like this. But snippets are always taken out of context. You never know what the rest of the song will sound like until you hear it.

Actually the Burqa demo > the remastered version.

It will without a doubt sound similar to the demo, but remember none of these snippets have a hint of Rihanna, and it's nearly a quarter of the song. Something tells me that this is an early demo that managed to leak

No one is denying that's true sometimes, but other times it's not - for example Nicole's "Don't Hold Your Breath" compared to the original demo by Timbaland and Keri Hilson, Madonna's demos for Gang Bang, or even more recently the demo for Eminem/Rihanna's "The Monster" - - just to name a few that stand out from my immediate memory of course.

The Gang Bang demo you're referring to was not leaked in mass before the album, it leaked afterwards. And there was a lq version of the album version. In the same vein, the Give Me All Your Lovin snippet that was released before was exactly the same (and as lame) as the finished product, it just sounded more lq. See people often falsely use the term demo when what they really mean is LQ. This probably isnt a demo but an lq version of the finished product.

Also, it depends on the stature of the artist. When it comes to people like Nicole and Keri Hilson it doesn't surprise me that a demo would leak and it would be different because that happens more often with artists that aren't in high demand.

I know nothing of the monster demo so i cant even comment on that.

Now you mentioned Nicole, Don't Hold Yoru Breath is the primary example of how a demo can evolve.

There is the Keri Hilson & Timbaland demo

and then there is the official version Nicole released and that one was hella different from Nicole's leaked demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4nKOzk8qbw

In this case I could see soemthing similair, I bet this song also has various versions on the shelves. The snippets taht laked are from a demo, she might even have recorded a demo on a guitar or piano or whatever. So much can happen in the studio during the development of a song and Shakia is an artist, so I doubt she was satisfied with the song on the first try.

Theres like two snippets that add up to like what a minute? Theres still room for Rihanna. This is probably not an early demo.

I really can't with people trying to convince themselves the finished product is going to be some drastically different song. Just stop the delusion. If this had leaked like a month ago than id believe that it could be an early demo, but this song is coming out on monday. This has to be an lq version of the finished product.

A snippet is just that, a snippet.
We have no idea what the whole song sounds like and personally I really like it and it's made me more excited for the song.

Is there some incredibly slight chance the finished product is drastically different? Sure. But its improbable in comparison to how often these leaked snippets pre-single release end up matching up to the album version. They're nearly always the same essentially.
