Alice, fed up with her boyfriend and tired of abiding by his rules and opinions on what a good girl is wanders off one night to take a walk. Lost in thought she came across an alley so mysterious she had to go down it. Counting her steps, lost in imagination she was startled when a man appeared from the shadows. Wearing a funny hat and dressed like he was going to a very important dinner.
"You look like you need to get the edge off" the man had stated calmly. "For a trip down a wonderful place all you need is to stick your hand out. First one is always free" the man extended his hand and opened his palm to reveal a pill.
Alice's head was filled with desire. Something about this man in this alley, and the recent fight with her boyfriend. She wanted to be rebellious, she wanted to feel like she was free. She took the pills and swallowed.
Alice was suddenly experiencing a whole new world of images and life around the alley. The street signs in front of her were flashing different colors she's never seen. The world was warping around her. She was going into a new place she had never seen before. She was seeing flashes and flashes before her eyes. She didn't know how deep she was going but she knew one thing, she had liked it.
"Do you like it? Are you happy? Do you feel what I'm feeling all the time" voices she heard from the distance. She ignored them, all she wanted to feel was the cold air of the night and the world spinning before her eyes.
How long was Alice in this trip? She didn't know. She couldn't tell time. She just kept feeling like she was falling faster and faster down the dark alley in a time loop. It kept looking more and more distorted to her. She started seeing shadows in the dark now and the voices kept creeping up on her. She was frightened she needed to wake up but she didn't know how.
"Wake up Alice! Wake up!" she screamed to herself, but no look. She couldn't get out of this trip. Why did she decide to go down this alley in the first place? Oh. Her boyfriend came into her head.
"You're mine now" She heard.
~~~
The next morning, Cris, her boyfriend was walking down the alley to take a short cut to work. He paused for a second, thought he heard something. Uneasy from last night, Alice never stays out all night when they fight so it must have been bad. He ignores the feelings and continues on to work.
In the alley window, Alice is banging against it, screaming out his name. She's trapped.
A Bomb
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen
Give him two lips like roses and clover
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over
My friend Emily and I decided to have a huge party at her uncle’s farmhouse a few hours from our city. We had to show up a day earlier to clean up the place. The decrepit house looked so worn out and the creaking sound the front door made, when it opens, still makes my skin crawl. The drive up was fun, for the most part, at least before Emily’s aux cord broke and we had to resort to listening to the few radio stations that had reception out there. We settled on this oldies station. It felt like we were leaving our reality and entering this old-fashioned world. The residential houses were soon replaced with large fields and with even more timeworn images; it was like looking into a pages of a Steinbeck novel.
your footsteps footsteps calling out my name [...]
I think I changed my mind about a million times
Oh to run or hide
That first night was when I came face to face with the monster that still haunts me in the darkness. Emily wakes me up in the middle of the night. She’s intelligible and frantic. She drags me out of bed and urges me to put on my shoes. She faintly whispers:
“we have to get out of here. There’s someone in the house.”
As we make our way downstairs and out the door; we hear footsteps.
“we can’t-t let him see us” Emily manages to muster.
I still can’t see him, but with its every step, I hear, I can feel it getting closer. Emily dashes towards the door, while I’m stand there paralyzed with fear. A large male figure runs behind her before she can reach for the door. I hear Emily’s bloody scream followed the sound of metal cutting through skin. I look away. Again, I am left unable to move. In the back of my mind I can faintly hear a command. It gets louder.
“run. Run. RUN!”
I run towards the back door. I can feel his eyes burn through my back, but I still manage to keep my legs moving. All I can do is find a place to hide and hope I can keep moving without him noticing. I find some refuge behind the barn next to the old farmhouse.
Darling, what's your name and can you hear me?
Tell me why you're out so late alone
I make sure to keep my back against the barn wall and inch closer and closer to the old corn stalks that can shield me, while I head towards the main road. The minutes or hours it takes for me to finally reach those stalks is never ending. I stand there feeling isolated. Knowing any sound, I make will expose my location, then it won’t matter how loud my screams are no one, but the shadow man will hear them. I sprint towards the stalks use every last bit of energy, I have, to make it to the road as quickly as I can. I walked for hours and no cars drove by. I never looked back, because I knew as soon as I did the fear would leave me immobilized. At dusk a silver pickup stops a few feet away from me. The passenger door opens. I walk up and a man asks me what I’m doing on this road all alone. I tell him I’m heading home and he offers me a ride to a small town a few miles down the road…
The metal wraps itself around your bones
And when it penetrates you, it feels cold
What other song would be a better fit than this one which celebrates the hustle and bustle of arguably the busiest city on Earth? This song sums up the physical idea of a busy city - bright lights, skyscrapers, billboards, parades, fancy bars and congested streets. These are the reasons why every busy city never fails to be stunning and majestic. You'll never get bored of a busy city.
indulgence
What's a busy city without nightlife? When the sun goes down and the party animals come alive, that's when the fun actually begins. Be it chilling to some jazz at the amphitheater or popping your ***** out at the discothèque, the nightlife of a city is not to be missed!
isolation
Wait... how do you feel lonely in a busy city? That's exactly how I feel sometimes. Being in such a fast-paced society, it's completely normal to feel left out by your loved ones sometimes. Everyone is so occupied with their studies, work or other commitments and just merely living day to day to make ends meet. Bonding among families and friends is restricted as a result of everyone's hectic lifestyles. Additionally, being a busy city can worsen the state of soliariness when you're physically surrounded by many people but in fact, no one's actually here for you.
Remote Farm
We find our remote farm nestled in the backcountry, far removed from the lights of the big city or a big town lying in some inaccessible little corner of the world. It’s isolated, tired, lonely, left over from a time in the country’s past that has long since been forgotten. The fruit trees are overgrown and bear gnarled sour fruit, the farm itself creeks and groans in its old age, weeds sprout up and threaten to swallow up the farm, and even the animals themselves are weary and ancient. Only one farmer remains, she is still young and supports herself, the descendant of a long line of farmers that had always lived in that small remote section of the country, but is unable to keep up with everything on her own. She works, content in her surroundings, but has nobody. There’s not many people left in the emptiness around surrounding her. She’s tired at the end of the day from supporting herself, and is lonely, wishing she has someone else to break her solitude with the company of someone else.
A man from the surrounding area has caught the attention of our farmer. She’s let herself fall for the man, excited at the prospect of having somebody. Unfortunately, he’s not the perfect man for her, he’s inattentive and disappears for stretches of time, but he is somebody, and that is rare occurrence in itself. She knows that Henry is not faithful, and travels to great distances that she cannot imagine traveling on her own, but she ignores it as long as he comes back to her and her farm; thinking eventually they would settle down together, get the farm together and be happy. One day, Henry doesn’t return, she waits, but he’s gone. She’s left in despair, but has no choice to continue on. She knows nothing else than her life on her farm.
Our farmer is left with nothing but the land she’s always lived on. She’s got no choice but to return back to the lonely life she’s familiar with and to let him go, left feeling silly that she thought things would be able to change for her. At the same time, for the first time, the farm feels lonelier than ever. She picks up one of the many dandelions growing next to the old barn, blows it, and finds herself wishing she could move on and set herself adrift like the floating dandelion seeds.
Snowy Day in the Suburbs
So I wanted to set the mood here. You know like an opening to a movie or play and they have this cute intro song. Imagine a little story book open and a winter suburb just popping out. You can imagine the snow just building up throughout the song.
Our character, a young girl about 17 is lost and can’t find her way home. The snowstorm came by quickly than expected. Visibility is reduced dramatically despite it being the middle of the day. She’s need help and she need it fast.
Hope did come, a godmother approach her in the storm. If she believe then everything will be alright. I choose this because of the “home” setting of The Wiz which was a snowy evening and it was my main inspiration for this trinity.
Sunny Beach - Trinity
Its a sunny day and no better place to go than a beach. A sunny beach brings out the best of us, sometimes by creating a feeling of lust. Lust is a feeling of a possible relationship with that person or loving their body image. Of course there is always people that go to the beach to just watch and seek out people. It often makes us feel tempted and lusting for the half naked bodies that we see.
Tunnel Vision – It’s a beautiful sunny day on the beach. No better place to search for love than a beach. Its easy to find a nice spot in the sand to lay down on a towel and focus on one person that captures your heart.
Quote:
Don't know why, but girl, I'm feeling close to you
Maybe is this ocean view, I'm so emotional
Boyz In The Hood– The sun casting over the hot half naked bodies. You manage to scope out a hot guy’s body with tattoos, dreads and letting his swim trunks straddle his waist. You begin to admire those things because it’s the type of guys you like. Your mind begins to run wild with all possible things you could do when meeting him.
Quote:
cause I love the way his tattoos show
And I love the way his dreads hang low
WET – Its hard to approach anyone at the beach because it can seem very desperate. You see other people in the clear waters showing off their bodies to possibly draw the attention they need for someone to lust for them. It’s a nice way to cool down and possible get someone to come for you instead of you going for them.
Quote:
Well, Imma rip my clothes off
Take a leap and surf through the crowd
Last night was totally fetch! I had to sneak out of my hotel room because I'm just THAT rebellious, but it was soooo worth it TBH. I saw my crush again and, seriously, I think this is true love! I had so much fun with him. We TOTALLY lost control. And I know what you're thinking... but EW, AS IF!!! All we did was kiss... but he told me it was his first kiss so it was special. He is WAY cute and he totally turned this disastrous summer vacation into the best one EVER! That's all for now.... I still miss you all and can't wait to see you all again!
I am crying while writing this blog post. So... my boyfriend's parents found out he had a party a couple nights ago without asking for their permission (parents suck!) and SENT HIM AWAY TO SPEND THE SUMMER WITH HIS GRANDPARENTS!!! I couldn't even get his number before he left. I miss him SOOOO much already and it's only been a couple hours since we last spoke! The universe obviouslyhates me. It was nice to know him. I hope I get to see him again one day.
sometimes rain is seen as gloomy or depressing but I see it as a cleanse, a chance to start anew, and as something refreshing.
LET IT RAIN4 STRINGS
Let it rain
Let it color all my skin
Let it rain
Wash away my doubts and pain
I wanna discover
I don't wanna make believe
Let it rain down on me
Let it rain, God.
This is the first song I think about when I think about rain. This 4 Strings album is one of my personal favorites since I listened to it back in 2005 or 2006. Even though this song is trance, it's so very peaceful for me and the message of rain washing away all the negativities is something I really respond to well.
COME CLEANHILARY DUFF
Let the rain fall down
And wake my dreams
Let it wash away
My sanity
'Cause I wanna feel the thunder
I wanna scream
Let the rain fall down
I'm coming clean
Such a classic pop song, and the message perfectly aligns with the theme. Wanting to wash away everything and come clean. This is another song that's a must listen to on a good rainy day.
SHAKE IT OUTFLORENCE
And I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I'm gonna cut it out and then restart
'Cause I like to keep my issues drawn
It's always darkest before the dawn
Shake it out, shake it out, ooh whoa
And it's hard to dance with a devil on your back
So shake him off, oh whoa
The whole Ceremonials album really gives me great rain vibes with it's vivid water imagery and this one especially goes with the theme of a rain being a cleanse. It being darkest before the dawn makes me think of a storm before the sun shines again. And after that you get to restart like the song says.
Satan??
After my first look, some of you guys stepped it up a lot, some of you are still consistently good, and others...might not have learned from last round. Overall, there seems to be improvement, though!
So like my first take was gonna be a lot more fun, but it was so long. I ended up doing a complete 180 on the story.
I didn't even get to finish it, but it was at like 500 words before I even got half way done with the 2nd song. I really liked it and I wanted to finish it, but my inspiration kind of left me. :/
A silver Cadillac Deville creakily drives up to the front of a decrepit house; stationed in America’s heartland. An ethically ambiguous female teen steps out of steaming car.
“God, what a long drive up here. Oh and look one bar of signal” Angela sneered.
Followed by a quirky red-head, who looks more ready for Sunday night bible study, than a weekend get-a-way.
“At least Emily’s rust bucket got us up here” Maggi chattered.
An overbearing smell of the second amendment and Trump support fills the air; as Emily, a scantily clad busty blonde, steps out of the driver’s side and onto the gravel. All three of them look in horror and disgust as their eyes widen when they take a closer at their home for the rest of the week.
“Wow Emily, your uncle is a piece of ****. Maybe you should have slept with him, so we’ve could have stayed at a nicer place” Angela howled.
“**** off Ang! This place will be perfect for our last high school hurrah” Emily proclaimed delusionally.
The legendary trio make their way inside to have lunch, then proceed to start the clean up before tomorrow’s party.
“Honestly, I’m creeped out. I just know if I turn on that archaic radio an announcement of the start of WWI will play” Maggi whimpered.
Angela, looking annoyed, proceeds to turn on the radio and a very old song begins to play.
“It’s like we’re in the ****ing twilight zone. Are you sure Cris is even bringing his DJ equipment? I can’t work to this segregation music” Angela barked.
“If that’s a bitchy comment, you better hold it BACK. Like this is already stressful enough” Emily countered.
“Fine. I’m sorry” Angela reluctantly said.
All three return to cleaning up the house. Hours pass. As the night begun to greet them, so was an unexpected visitor heading towards their door.
The girls are laying down on the living room floor, exhausted. Soon they hear some rustling in the back yard. All three jump up.
“Well we’re obviously gonna get eaten by a pack of raccoons” Maggi sobbed.
They start heading to the back of the house and peak through a window. They see a shadowy figure and it notices them back. The shadow rushes towards them; as the trio sprints towards the front door. Maggi trips, seemingly trips on nothing; while Emily and Angela reach the front door. The shadow gains on them and within seconds is a few steps away. The shadow reaches for Emily.
“Babe, it’s me” Cris reveals.
Crist takes off the ski mask and starts laughing.
“You ****ing asshole!” Emily screams as he slaps the right side of his face.
Cris begins to apologize and tells Emily that he brought the power generator; to soothe things over. Maggi and Angela appear more relieved than mad. After a few minutes of Emily and Cris arguing all four seem ready for bed. Cris and Emily head to their bed; as do Angela and Maggi. Maggi is woken up, a few hours later, by Emily boombursting through the paper walls. She heads downstairs for a cup of water, but she hears footsteps coming from outside. Then a loud bang on the side of the house.
“I swear to god Cris, if you scare me I’ll cut your balls off” Maggi exclaims.
