Yeah I don't really get the first part either. Like clearly his label has to know that he's weaseling out of his contract if thats actually the case, so idk why they'd go on and let him do it. The thing that makes it "mixtape"ish for me is that its not a very cohesive album imo, drake usually does some interludes and longer tracks, like you can just tell he threw a bunch of songs together. That and he announced the album title as "Views From the 6" months ago.
But then again a lot of songs about "the 6" are on this album so maybe he just changed the title and there isn't another album. WHO KNOWS
