It's just a song. It's not that serious. We could go on for days of songs where artists are saying they're something they're not, something that isn't completely accurate, or playing a bit of a character in the songs. And race really doesn't need to be brought up in this because its really just coming across as separating races more.
So much for the positive message of Rhythm Nation "with music by our side to break the color lines, let's work together to improve our way of life"
