I actually think that Interscope wanted to have Nicole as solo artist though. But they wanted to go too fast. It is more profitable to have one girl going big and invest in that, than to invest in 6 girls.
Nicole also obvious didn't declined, since it is her dream. But they def. had no clear idea how to market or branch Nicole, and beside that Nicole also didn't had any idea. It was just the wrong match and she never recovered from the descisions made at that period. After Interscope saw that it was a sinkingship they called back the other girls and tried to atleast use the PCD brand to let the situation not be a total waste of time.
The fact Interscope wanted to relaunch Nicole's solo career with both Jai Ho! and Hush Hush; Hush Hush says enough. They were behind Nicole as solo artist. They just didnt knew what to do with her.
