Is promo bad thing ? Celine hasnt been relevant in the US for years. She didnt have her Emancipation´s comeback during 00´s like Mariah.
Mariah should just promo hell out of this album.

Well, Celine at least had other parts of the world to fall back on. Mariah is a very U-S.-centered artist. She needs American more than Celine. I doubt MIAMTEC will be able to match Celine's worldwide numbers (1.3m I believe).

read my post again. Mariah has been promoting this thing since April of last year. I didnt say Celine didnt promoted I said she didnt promote to the point the GP knew it was coming until the last minute. GP has know Mariah was especially in the last month and half.

Also again....it's freaking Mariah Carey. And now shes gonna do less than Celines numbers ( which were 77k.)

Maybe you need to read your own post again considering its awful grammar. Mariah has next to no promo this week and had little last week. Promo from last year will have no effect on the album now

She obviously doesnt need the money but it tells her relevancy these days. Which is sad cuz her album is good.

So her promoting You're Mine( Eternal )back in February doesn't count now? How about going to every radio station to announce the name a release of the album. Or the radio interviews all week? Or her performance at the World Music Awards this week?

Celine Dion's album SLAYED in some markets like Canada and France and did very well in the UK. She is an international star. Mariah's core market is the US. The album will miss the top5 and top10 in all other key markets. So it selling just 60k in the US is bad.

Celine is also a touring force. Mariah... NOT so much.

Don't count Coldplay out yet. Last week, they ended up exceeding initial expectations by 60K. And looking at their WW numbers, I think they will be fine.
