In another interview, she described it as soulful and uplifting. On Twitter the other day, she said it was an emotional track. Basically she used every adjective you can think of.

I dont want any pop, period. I need for her to go hard or go home. **** all this crossover nonsense. That's what put her in this awkward position in the first place.
