^ Mutual fans. (And I'm talking about the short run here.) Parents buying one album for their kids and picking up another album in the process. When Ashley Tisdale's album came out, Vanessa's album sales went up. They are complementary products...they don't do the same genre of music so they are not competiting against one another but they have a lot of cross over fans. Fans that like both Vanessa and the Jonas Brothers.
I'm also expecting some displays. A lot of stores have "If you like this artist then you should get this album" displays. I wouldn't be suprised to see displays that contain albums from Disney stars around the time the Jonas Brother's album comes out. You can expect sales to rise for other releated artists too around the release date too.
Vanessa Hudgens to perform on new Dancing With The Stars season
Vanessa Hudgens to perform on the new season of Dancing With The Stars.
As some of you may know Vanessa was supposed to perform her song "Let's Dance" on Dancing With The Stars last year during the season finale but due to her nude scandal she didn't end up performing. However the song was still used for the show. Well Vanessa might just be getting a second chance. Vanessa's performance is being re-scheduled for this year around May where she will perform the 1st single off her sophomore album and "Let's Dance" from her gold debut 'V'. The line-up for the new season of Dancing With The Stars will be announced Monday, February 18th, 2008.

Vanessa Hudgens single + album information.
As you guys know we get an update from someone @ Hollywood Records every week.
Luckily I was able to ask them a few questions via myspace and now we have even more info!!!
1. Hollywood Records has now officially confirmed the album is scheduled for a June 24th release!!!
2. The first single will be chosen by the end of the month.
3. Vanessa's new single will be going for radio adds in May.
Vanessa to work with Timbaland on her new album + more news from Hollywood Records myspace
So I messaged Hollywood Records official myspace (since they left a blog telling fans to email questions about artists on the label).
And they answered me back!!!
Here are the questions I asked:
Me: When can we expect her sophomore album to hit stores and the 1st single to hit radio? Hollywood Records:Vanessa Hudgens is currently working on her sophomore album, and will be finished by the end of Spring 2008, we should expect a single and a album by this Summer!
Me: Will Vanessa promote the album outside the U.S.? Hollywood Records:We are trying to get our artists supported more, and Vanessa Hudgens could possibly go to the U.K., Europe, and even Japan, this year.
Me: Are there any plans for a Vanessa Hudgens tour? Hollywood Records:We haven't talked about a Vanessa Hudgens Tour this year, but possibly soon, if everything goes well.
Me: Besides JR Rotem, Sean Garett, Tim James & Antonina Armata are there any other producers Vanessa is working with on the new album? Hollywood Records:We have received that Vanessa might be working with Timbaland. And she will be working with Robbie Nevil, Matthew Gerrard, and Jon Lind, on her upcoming album!
Me: And finally can we expect more than 2 singles off the album? Hollywood Records:You never know if more than one single is released off of an album. It all has to do with album sales. If the album sales really good, you can expect more than 2 singles, but if it doesn't, there may only be one single.
Congratulatory messages to Dr. Phil upon reaching his broadcast milestone are offered by many show business luminaries, including David Letterman; Larry King; Jimmy Kimmel; Rachael Ray; cast members of ABC's "The View;" Howie Mandel; Judge Judy Sheindlin; Vanna White; Marie Osmond; Michael Bubl; Josh Groban; Vanessa Hudgens; Mary J. Blige and others.
It's only gonna be footage of her congratulating him on his 1000th episode, but atleast it's something rite.
He's also gonna have Oprah on the show that day (you can read the full article in the link above).
I'm really excited for this.
A performance on DWTS could really help her first single sales.
Not to mention she'll also be singing "Let's Dance" which is pretty high engery so we'll see some dance moves.
She's not the best dancer in the world .. she's alrite from the performances I've seen on youtube plus her dancing in the High School Musical movies so I hope her dancing has improved and she'll do some hot choreography.
Vanessa Hudgens will premiere her 1st single in early April!!!

2. The label wants Vanessa to do some songs with Timbaland (as previously reported) to boost her profile.
3. The song that Hilary Duff contributed to the album titled "I Will", has been canned along with another song due to both songs sounding completely different from the overall sound of the record.
4. Now Vanessa is down to 17 tracks and will record 3 more (hopefully with Timbaland) which will be completed by the end of March by the latest.
5. REMINDER: Vanessa Hudgens' sophomore album is due in stores June 24th.

LOL you may want to correct #2.
And I cant believe they canned "I Will"!! Hilary could have kept the damn song for herself for that matter. And did you get this info from Hilaryfan? If you did, Hilfan72 didn't say the whole sound of the album would be R&B/HipHop. According to HR sources, its going to be a pop/dance record with R&B vibes in it. Not arguing, just saying.

LOL yea I edited that
And yes thats where I got the info from and Vanessa stated many times the album is gonna sound R&B/Hip Hop with a little jazz thrown in.
She said it to Access Hollywood + in her Seventeen Magazine interview.
(So I don't know where you got the dance thing from).

I don't remeber HilFan72 saying that unless he told you exclusively or something.
But he does have the hook up with Hollywood Records so who knows, I just remember Vanessa stating many times that the album will have a R&B/Hip Hop/Jazz sound.

He said it in a PM a long time ago, maybe its changed by now though. My mistake!:-\
I have so much hope for this album because i think
she has potential on being a good artist. But her last
album sucked. The only good songs were Let's Dance
and Say O.K
I think the album is going to be a mix of a bunch of genres. I just don't think she is going to have a whole lot of ballads or easy listening music on it. She can have hip-hop and jazz sounds in her songs and still make them pop songs...a lot of the songs that are doing good on pop radio do have a lot of hip-hop in them.
I don't really think her last album sucked...infact I think some of her bonus tracks were better than some of the songs on her album. I really liked her album, I just felt that it was rushed and that Disney wasn't allowing her to act her age. No girl that is almost 18 years old sings about seeing a Psychic so she can know if a guy likes her or not. I think another part of the problem was that the album didn't really have a theme...some of her songs felt like they fit together and others were WTF is this song doing on this album. I mean Let's Dance and Drive were good songs, but I don't think they fit together for an overall album feel.
