I don't like this release schedule, her first-week digital sales will be spread over two weeks. And then there's the physical release, which is also being released on a Friday, so that will be spread over two weeks.
Oh well, at least Bey's sales will remain consistent and she'll have extremely small drops between those four weeks. Maybe that was what she was going for?

I think it's a great idea because it doesn't allow the album to look frontloaded & only fueled by hype.

That was definitely what she was going for. I mean, otherwise she would've released it physically and digitally at the same time. Everything is planned, with Christmas coming, she will definitely be able to keep pulling good numbers during the first month. It was a really smart tactic.
