Charli says "You're the One", but we say "you're the eight." While it has half the amount of tens than "What I Like", the bundled up 8's and 9's helped this beat it out by a small margin. The synths are heavy on this one, and almost antithetical to the sweet lyrics being sung over them - "you're the one who can make me stay, you're the only one who can make me feel this way." This song is so distinctly Charli and has a great video to compliment it, so while it's not my favorite, I definitely understand it's high placing. Charli's down to three!!!

Sky Ferreira is the queen of the anthemic hook. Both "I Blame Myself" and her now-last-song-on-the-rate, "You're Not the One" both have irresistibly catchy hooks that I personally find it difficult to not sing along to. The song's lyrics allow for a sense of vulnerability in the vein of THE BEST SONG EVER her 2012 single release, "Everything Is Embarrassing", but over a less somber production. This track embracing Sky's regret - "it's not your fault... I blame myself for my reputation" - is sung over a bubbly production you could easily throw the lyrics to Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" over (why can't I stop mentioning her?) This song is a clear highlight of Night Time, My Time and if you add 5 to her placing on here, you'll get the number this exact song placed on Pitchfork's Top 100 tracks of 2013!
And because I'm a Pitchfork w***e, our ROBBED #14 "Nobody Asked Me (If I Was Okay)" was their 2013 #58. Our top six entrant "You (Ha Ha Ha)" was their #61. Solange's "Losing You" made last year's list at #16. As for Icona Pop? Pitchfork states, "I don't know ha".
And with this, Sky officially joins Icona Pop and Solange in the "our-last-song-is-our-lead-single" club.
