Not really sure how someone can call it basic and boring when I've never heard some of the sounds on the album being produced before. It's such a effortless blending of EDM with other genres. I mean, WMU isn't a huge success by accident.
Wait till Gaga's Artpop is released. If it becomes number one - Zedd will get massive mainstream attention.
That's when the "sellout" cries will begin form within the EDM crowd.

I think it'll get the same treatment that every other EDM track released by a mainstream artist gets. They'll play it, but it's not as huge of a deal in the culture as it would be for the GP or the pop world. A lot of bigger songs in EDM would be played more, akin to WFL.

I don't view him as a sellout though! He already worked with Ellie Goulding, and Calvin Harris worked with Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Ellie also, and Florence Welch and the tunes are still good. There should be nothing wrong with experimenting and collaborating if the music is still good. The only one I consider a sellout is Guetta because his DJing live has gone downhill since 2006-7 and he milks his albums GGGB-style with tons of re-releases and yeah his brand just deteriorated. I'm not worried about the others.

Yep! I'm so pumped, it was kind of a spur of the moment decision, but tickets were only $15. They have a ton of acts coming through Label Nightclub in Charlotte, NC and he's one of them.
Ugh Madeon is $20 at HQ Nightclub at Revel next weekend. I really need to be 21 already.
