^ I thought I deleted that before anyone saw. It turns out I was wrong; Kristofferson isn't from Arkansas.
However, working under the assumption that the song is about a guy from Arkansas, there are a few old country legends- including Johnny Cash- who come into play. Other contenders could be country artist Justin Moore and Idol star Kris Allen.
I think Superstar is one of those songs that will always remain a mystery.

In one of the Vogue photos, Taylor is standing in front of an Alison Krauss poster...
An indication of what is yet to come? Will Taylor abandon mainstream?

Well if you knew what WWE was like. You would know why her name was Kelly Kelly. They're pretty much chauvinist against their women wrestlers.
She's actually pretty adorable looking tho.

Hope so. If she pulls an Alison Krauss, then the golden era of music will be back.
I mean: Taylor creates great music like that -> People buy it -> People will start to ignore crappy music on the singles chart -> albums will sell again -> RIP Pop Stars -> Bye trashy music -> Our ears are safe & sound. Another bonus is, Taylor will run the world along with the other great acts.

I only knew WWE as a whacky-ass show about wrestling, and my brother's fave show.
She's adorable when you take her on an ice-cream date, not when she's on ring. #truestory

I'm glad to have the article in more readable form. I read it the first time from those blurry capture shots, and the next day tried to read it again and it was just a blur lol. Don't know how I read it the first time. But now it's interesting to read again. I still think they could have done a better job with the interview but it's not bad.

Unfortunately, I think we'll always be stuck with the crap clogging the charts; America is currently too Jersey Shore for the music industry to be dominated by artists like Adele and Taylor and whomever else. Even now it's a constant battle between LMFAO and Adele- nearly the epitome of polar opposites- fighting it out for the top.
My theory is that for every "serious" artist there has to be a "crap" act to counterbalance it; the more serious the serious act is, the crappier the crap act has to be to balance it out.

True. The worst thing that could happen, or is it happening right now?
LMFAO? Those two creepy ass dudes that create unbearable noise they call as music? Oh God. LMFAO: the most perfect definition of douchebaggery.

Regarding this "earth-shattering but not recent" heartbreak that supposedly inspired the album...
I don't think she's referring to a break up. While Jonas, Mayer, Lautner all fit the "not recent" aspect, I get the sense that she's mostly moved on from them... Furthermore, it never seemed like things with Gyllenhaal were serious enough to be called "earth-shattering," although "crash and burn" could be an accurate summary of that relationship.
I think she's either referring to Gyllenhaal or she's not referring to a boyfriend at all. She had that really close friend die right after Speak Now was released. Losing a close friend could be "earth shattering" and it would have been over a year ago, so it's "not recent."
I could be wrong- blindly hoping that Taylor's moving on from love and boys- but I think her friend's death was significant enough that the majority of an album could be written about it and all the thoughts and emotions that would have followed.

I agreed.
I was listening to Kellie Pickler's album the other day. And forgot they did a song together. "Best Days Of Your Life" It's one of Kellie's best songs.
Taylor should work with Kellie again. They make a great duo.

This is exactly what I thought, before I edited my last post on this topic. Watching her acceptance speech for her BMI award was really sad, as she mentioned this. The heartbreak I think, will likely revolve around the loss of her close friend like you said. It will make for a much more interesting theme and will hopefully shut some naysayers up.

It probably didn't help Taylor that not too long after her friend died she had to spend Christmas crying because her relationship with Jake G ended, and then she lost that young fan to a disease (cancer?), plus some people think she's got a problem with her label... Then in the New Yorker there was a part about how she looked like she'd been crying, and that was sometime around March 2011...
I feel as though the past year has been a lot harder on Taylor then she's been letting on.
Tied together with a smile

She and her mom personally invited several severe cancer patients to each of her shows during her tour also, as well as at least one woman who had lost her child to cancer. You should read the RockstarRonin blog if you havn't already, especially the story the lady tells of going to Taylor's show. If anyone wants a link to it I'll post it. Also another really sweet and cool story illustrating how her mom and she go out of their way to connect with younger girls and her fans is here at http://www.charlottesmartypants.com/...ou-mama-swift/

^^what I meant t say was that seeing those fans (child cancer patients and their parents) and dealing with them there and in the visits she made to hospitals, that could be a heart-breaking experience. I hope we hear some of her songs about those kind of experiences.
She seems to have very bad taste in guys, and so far none of those guys that she's fallen for were worth the time and trouble they cost her, nor the songs she wrote. I hope her taste grows more perspicatious

You'd think she'd get big publicity doing that... But the fact she does it even though there was no publicity about it just shows how much of a saint she is.
I read the RockstarRonin tumblr once, absolutely heartbreaking.

I know of numerous other incidents of her visiting very sick kids etc. where she got absolutely no publicity. Most of the time her only condition with the hospitals she visits is absolutely no cameras or news reporters.
