Sorry, but after three consecutive #1s, I think people are feeling a little bit of Katy Perry fatigue -- especially with new music from Britney, Gaga and Beyonce taking over in the next few months, "E.T." could easily get lost in the mix. It also sounds so out of place on Top 40 radio and it probably won't mesh well in playlists, giving stations all the more reason not to play it. I think it was a poor single choice that will underperform. She should have gone with "Last Friday Night."
