I've never seen someone call Winehouse a legend or icon. In between yesterday and today, her music and accomplishments didn't change. If she was no legend while alive, then she is no legend postmortem.
Various musicians and media have used those terms in reporting her death. That last portion is exactly my point.
I dont think any addict loves drugs stupid girl. Addicts are overtaken by the addiction and are compelled to use and reuse not because they love it more than their own lives and no, im sure her support system isnt what it shouldve been. Obviously it takes a large amount of self-control on her part but it was definitely evitable. Otherwise why try helping any drug addict if its "inevitable"
It was inevitable because she did get help, she did have people reaching out to her prepared to do anything and yet she carried on. And a love of drugs is a way of saying that getting high was more important to her than anything else in her life, it doesn't mean she wanted to snuggle with them. I have known drug addicts who I loved and cared for but they just preferred the drugs to anything else that anyone could give them. And evitable isn't a word, please stop using it, stupid boy.
O just caught the radio dj say "rip Amy" and I thought, "Amy"? ... "It can't be Amy winehouse.", then I went to CNN and saw the breaking news banner. So ****ing sad. She had her issues, but we all do and I honestly thought she'd pull through. I'm so shocked right now.
Seriously I can't believe it. I was in love with her Back To Black album. All the Jazz and Soul she had in her songs and in her voice was more than incredible. So sad she passed away. RIP Amy
Well, there's nothing wrong with feeling sorry over someone dying although no one can justify her drug addiction just because she had a hard life. There are billions of people living in poverty and they don't do it. But she had it all, fame and fortune. She's just proving that we humans aren't perfect. One can fall from a pedestal either by someone pushing her into it or it was herself that caused her own fall. People go through a lot of stuff, and I guess, for some people, they probably see her as some kind of inspiration, not to become like her.
