whenever you have time, you (or whoever that wants to) could explain me how all of these rates are being hosted/ranked

Okay, so here it is in a nutshell.
We began doing these rates sometime last summer - a new way of combining the traditional survivor type "game" of ranking your favorite songs or albums with an interactive discussion. They've been quite successful, in their own little way.
The rates rules' are simple. Anyone can vote, and their rank their favorite songs from 10 - 0.
Hosts and rate topics are decided in this thread. There's a small band of about ten - fifteen members who have hosted rates, and they come up with a lot of different ideas. We discuss them, and if they make sense, they become actual rates.
There are six (?) categories for the rates:
- Album rates
- Niche album rates (for ideas that might not be popular; they usually pair albums that are not that popular and/or current.)
- Blockbuster rates (The opposite - pairing albums that are hugely popular and relevant to our populace.)
- Singles rates
- Contemporary - Ranking, rating and discussing the singles of artists who started making music within the last twenty two years, give or take a few.
- Legendary - for artists that have been making music for longer than twenty two years.
All artists, in order to have singles rates, must have released at least twenty singles in their career.
If they haven't ...
- Artists rates
- Singles rates are one person at a time, artists rates rank the singles of multiple artists who have something in common.
