Lady GaGa has reportedly nearly doubled the price of tickets for the extra dates she has added to her UK 'Monster Ball' tour.

Earlier this week, the 'Bad Romance' singer announced that she had postponed her Nottingham and Sheffield gigs until May and June respectively.

She also added three extra dates at London's O2 arena, Birmingham's LG Arena and Manchester MEN Arena.

However, BBC News reports that while tickets for the original shows were priced between £27.50 and £35, the new dates have been organised by a different promoter and cost from £50 to £75.

Some fans have complained about the sharp price rises on GaGa's website, but Live Nation's chairman of global touring Arthur Fogel insisted that the ticketing is fair.

"What was a small arena/theatre production is now a massive, first-rate arena production," he said. "Ticket prices for the previous dates were set long before the current 'Monster Ball' show was developed. Ticket prices are comparable and fair."

Live Nation added that the extra dates had been arranged because of "overwhelming demand". Tickets go on sale on March 12.

I don't think it is too much to have to pay. Other Artists charge a lot more, and besides the demand is there so why not charge more? She puts the money back in to her tour anyway.

When MJ died everybody was like: Ohhhhh noooo! The day, the music died. Armageddon! Ahhh...2012 blablabla...but the most forgot playing his music the last couple of years. You can't tell me that you listened to MJ on heavy rotation or stuff like that.

He's the King of Pop and a Legend....but at the end, he was an artist with very good songs and good videos. The same thing as Bey, GaGa and other artists today. (and I'm talking bout mainstream)
