VIEWER'S CHOICE:
Natasha Bedingfield "Angel"
Taylor Swift "Love Story"
Philmont "The Difference"
Paramore "Decode"
Stephanie McIntosh "So Do I Say Sorry First"
Mixi "I Miss Those Days"
Britt Nicole "Believe"
Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love"

Red "Already Over"
Carrie Underwood "Last Name"
Coldplay "Viva La Vida"
Fireflight "Unbreakable"
Katy Perry "Hot N Cold"
The Veronicas "Untouched"
Krystal Meyers "Make Some Noise"
Sharon:Wow, no Ashley, Delta, Rihanna or even Sara! The viewers have spoken and Sara says, 'They all deserve it more than me.' Pink then opened up and says, 'WTF? Red!? How could I lose to freakin' Red!?' Well, results are in. We have some surprising results.
5th Place:Carrie Underwood - 9,205,681 votes
Carrie Underwood's 2008 is now officially done but she gives thanks to the fans for the massive support of her. She won several awards and is very happy with how she did. Congrats Carrie for having the Top Country Album and an album that's better than most CDs released this year (I'm looking at you IASF!) *Remember, this is Sharon's commentary not mine*
4th Place:Lights - 9,690,135 votes
Lights finishes in 4th place and she's not finished yet. She still has a few more nominations coming up with Breakthrough Artist and Song Of The Year. Can Lights pull it off?
3rd Place:Philmont - 10,031,177 votes
Check the video out, it's very simple but the song is good. Philmont called upon their legions of fans who voted them #1 week after week on Steelroots Top 10 Countdown and it helped them get 3rd place on the VC award. The members thanked their fans for voting all year and helping them finish 3rd place.
2nd Place:The Veronicas - 10,043,900 votes
The Veronicas got red-hot when needed. They finish the Viewer's Choice Award up with over 10,000,000 votes and were so thrilled. Untouched left a mark forever on the MWC and on pop culture. But it ain't #1 and, we have the biggest shocker of all-time on ANY award show. Prepare to drop your jaw!
1st Place:Mixi - 10,147,914 votes
OMG! How did she pull it off?! How in the world did Mixi, the winner of Redemption Song rally to win the Viewer's Choice award? Well here's proof. On the first day of Mixi's eligibility, she racked up a WHOPPING 4.3 million votes and then steadily built up steam and had just enough to lock up #1. The song is THAT good and the fans agree. Here's her statement
Mixi:WOW! This is unbelievably incredible! I don't know HOW they did it but they did it! Thanks so much fans, you ROCK! I won the Viewer's Choice award! Wait till I tell Jazmin and Christine this <3333333333 BUY MY SONG ON ITUNES! www.imeem.com/mixi and add me on Myspace www.myspace.com/mixiofficial but no hate mail OK? Thanks and keep rocking
Sharon:She spoke it out true Up ahead, Sara Bareilles's recap and she teams with Angelica on the 2008-2009 New class. If you leave now, you'll regret it!
Sharon:Mike's as shocked as I am right now and I know most of you at home are wondering, 'Why not Beyonce or Lil Wayne?' Uh, guys look. Beyonce and Lil Wayne are HATED by IDRL & MWC fans all over the world. Point proven?
Now I gotta give Mixi fans credit, they went on a blazing trail. Here's her day-by-day voting status
12/18:4,342,991
12/19:2,591,023
12/20:2,067,900
12/21:1,146,000
Sharon:Wow, she actually broke some records. She beat the opening record set by Dream's He Loves U Not which had 2.1 Million votes on the first day. Mixi's 2nd day votes were by far the biggest 2nd day by 1.8M over 2nd place Paramore's Crushcrushcrush. The 3rd day saw 2M more votes and it looked like she was on pace for a record. Then she only got 1.1M more votes yesterday, but then her fans said 'I think that will hold. Let's see Philmont and The Veronicas catch up.' Which in fact they didn't. Again, congratulations to Mixi for winning Viewer's Choice Award!
