Well, from the sounds of it, the album has taken a more mainstream/techno/dubstep direction (for the love of God, why Leona? WHY!?) But I am positive Collide will be on it. The new production of it sounds like the album has been described.
To be honest I am worried about this album. Leona is not a dance-song type of singer or artist. It is frustrating seeing an artist, and an amazing singer like Leona, being shaped by her label and being ok with it. Sometimes it feels as if she has no artistic integrity, but perhaps that's just my pretentious arse talking. I just hope that she proves me wrong with this album.

It sounds to me as if this new direction has been Leona's decision. The new album is influenced by Tears For Fears, Kate Bush and then also electronic music. I remember her saying back in 2011 that her record label were very worried about the sound of her new album as it is so drastically different to her first two albums.
If Syco had their way, Leona would probably be in the studio with Akon, Ne-Yo and Ryan Tedder trying to make Bleeding Love 2.0 happen.

Exactly. Leona herself has said that she has a lot more creative control now and she had to fight for it.

I hope Collide will be on the album, even if it's just a bonus track but I'm not so sure it will be. Leona and Fraser have both described Trouble as 'the first single' so it seems that Collide has just been forgotten about and pushed out of the album.

I think the same, though she had to take this new descision because of Syco, they pulled the plug so easily out of the original Glassheart! I am happy she has more control though!

I don't think that Glassheart was delayed because they wanted to change the sound into a more commercial sound because to be honest, Collide was far more commercial than Come Alive. And far more commercial than how Trouble has been described.
I think Leona delayed it because she still felt it wasn't ready and she wanted to pour her heart and soul into it, because she really wants to make Glassheart a classic like albums by Tracy Chapman, Tears For Fears, Kate Bush.
The delay was probably Leona's decision. Syco probably wanted the album out in late 2011 when it was originally meant to be released as she could have promoted on The X Factor and had Christmas sales. Plus, it's not ideal for an X Factor contestant to have a three year gap between albums. Just ask Alexandra Burke.

Huh, well perhaps it has been her own decision. Still, it just doesn't feel like Leona. This whole electro-dance thing she is supposably putting out. In a way I feel that Leona and her voice are too good for this ongoing trend. I just don't want her to be a sell-out. But whatever, I'll have to wait till the album drops before I can say anything.

I don't get the feeling that it's going to be a generic electro-dance record though. From what we've heard from people who have listened to her new music it seems to be quite artistic and fresh.

I get what you mean though. Syco don't have the best track record for allowing artists to have creative control.

I also think it will be more than the typical dance record, especially because of the people she worked with, I am also happy she is out of her comfortzone, we know she can sing, we had both Spirit and Echo that showed us why she won XFactor, if you get what I mean. I feel this new album whether it still be called Glassheart or not, will be what Leona is really about and showd how she takes vision and stuff!
I am really interested!

Really? That's the feeling I have had throughout the recording process. Especially when I heard of dubstep. Then I got really concerned. But it kind of feels like a mix of genres at the same time. I mean, considering the way Trouble and Blank Page (what happened to that one btw?) have been described.
Right now I don't know what type of artist Leona is, or wants to be. Even though I have followed her career ever since it started. And that worries me. An evolution and growth are good, but I feel like she hasn't found her own place in music.

Thats my only problem with her at the moment. It's like she has no direction.

If you're talking about Come Alive and Glassheart - they're both moody electro-driven songs. That's a pretty clear direction.

Exactly. Is that Leonas direction as an artist? We all know what happens when you make a dance album after time away.

I'm not gonna assume her whole Glassheart musical direction based on two songs, that's why I said we need to hear more music.
No one said anything about dance. Come Alive is not dance.

I'm not talking about Glass heart, I'm talking about Leona. She started off with a bland ballad - midtempo album and then came with a better one and was a slight progression from Spirit but now whats going on, she said Echo was a 'Leona' album but what is this? Dance, electro, whatever. I don't remember it.
