01. Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace

- This album is ****ing amazing. Even the worst song of this album is still awesome. I was not a big fan of the Foos, but "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" really did take me by a surprise. First of all, the title of the album is really great because it is thoughtful, and not something like "Souljaboytellem.com"
Opening up the album with a track like "The Pretender" is a great move, not to mention another huge hit and Grammy nominated track for their career. "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" continued the journey and growth of the band with tracks such as, "Let It Die" (hands down the best song on the album) as Dave Grohl starts with cautious acoustic questioning,
"In too deep and out of time/Why'd you have to go and let it die?" then blows up into a full-metal cross-examination, or "Long Road To Ruin", the track that mesmerized their classic track "Learn to Fly", especially that new hilarious clip for the single. The band also shows their softer side with tracks like "Come Alive", "Home", and my personal favorite ballad from them, "Stranger Things Have Happened". I love the lyrics at the beginning, which goes
"Goddamn this dusty room, this hazy afternoon. I'm breathing in the silence like never before. This feeling that i get, this one last cigarette as i lay awake, and wait for you to come through that door." Another awesome part of this album is the pure acoustic solo in "The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners", it is just plainly amazing. I'd have to say "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" is a Foo Fighters classic and possibly one of the best alternatives album I've ever heard in a damn while. Hail the Foo Fighters.
Anyway, Brit Brit is still mad she's not at number one. Anyone wanna take a guess at my number one single, which by the way is coming soon!?!
