Almost done with the countdown! Man, I wish I was here sooner, but there were a lot of Best ofs to comment and yours got lost in that sea of Best ofs.
Oh, so I left off in the top 40.
40-36: I only like Don’t Tell em for Jeremih as YG needs to um….not do music and DJ Mustard beats did not work for me here. Let Go for Tonight is so good and like this EDM style alt. pop song. Foxes is more adorable here. Black Widow is pretty much the only Iggy song I like this year as I’m not hear for Fancy and Fancy 2.0: Less Appealing. I got into because of Rita’s hook, but Iggy’s rap is not bad so the song is good enough. The video is interesting. I’m Under Control. Of the Night is a decent jam.
35-31: 7/11 is well umm. Yeah, I don’t like it and as for the video, I guess Bey wanted to join the fun of acting a hot mess. Your Love is okay, but Nicole still looking hot. I’m judging you and anyone else who likes Hello Kitty. I mean, how does that not kill your ears? Don’t care for Hard out Here anymore, but good video and statement. I’m just going to do the song says and let it go. Nope. That song is too annoying. The Lion King’s impact (94’) >>>>> Frozen’s impact (14’).
30-26: I like Beating Heart. Such an elegant song. Ellie’s voice calms me. I do want to hear her beating heart tonight. My heart will be beating as fast as it can if I ever see her. Foxes is glorious. I’m getting more annoyed at Blank Space, but still tolerable than Shake it Off.
25-21: Nicki killed it on the remix so flawless in her own way. My mother likes The Heart Wants What It Wants so that’s something. Partition is just pure sexy ear-candy. Say Something I’m Giving Up on You still beautiful to this day.
20-17: I kinda like This is How We Do a bit during the 1st album listen, but ended up loathing it and it annoyed me that it became a single and torture my ears with great pleasure. I can’t even standing listening to Shake it off for even a minute. It’s really hard to shake that trash off. DJ Mustard worked in Fergie’s song. I like it, but far from her best work.
16-13: Oh, f**k off! Tho, the Katy B song is alright.
12-10: All About That Bass is fine and I never thought I would actually like it, but I did. I agree with XO and I couldn’t get into Ghost.
9-7: Ain’t it fun is fine better than Still Into you, Goodness Gracious was decent, but I can’t about the song anymore. Dark Horse is one of my fav songs from Prism and glad it became a single and smashed right thru the gate.
6-4: Chandelier is a beautiful song with great dancing in the video. Tinashe is a talented and beautiful artist that I’m glad I was able to hear her music. Her album is amazing and flows well. 2 on is a standout from the album because of the DJ Mustard beats. There are more wonderful to be found on the album. Still, 2 on is a great club jam. Tinashe brings the goods in the R&B scene.
Good stuff for the most part so far besides the crap that I’ll never like. Good job and ready for the top 3!
