Album sales are the pits. And first week sales aren't good indicators at longevity. ie Adele only debuted with barely 300k but went on to sell 10M in the US. Another example, Gaga debuted with over 200k yet failed to sell 1M in the US.

No, you're pushing it. Ariana doesn't even have a gold album and she has only two platinum singles.
LMAO at you comparing My Everything to 21. There are no more hits on this album and she has already promoted everywhere. It will probably struggle going gold.

Justin's album was newer, discounted, and his first in years. He did 50k+ with all factors included. Bey did just fine.
I'm awaiting the Grammys and what will happen with that situation. I think it will be telling.

Ariana scored 4 top 10's in her first year and half in the business. It took Demi like 4 years and took Selena 5 years. Ariana is far bigger than both of them combined. Even YT has outsold alot of Demi's albums

What even? yeah she scored 3 Top 10 singles THIS era and she's only selling like 50k more than Demi and 60k than Selena  wowowow such a HUGE album seller lmao?
YT has only outsold Demi in the US, it didn't outsell any of Demi's other albums yet.
And um it's the truth, Miley just got hers this year and she was a MUCH bigger star at 16 than Ariana at 21.
