Pretty much. I'm super confident that she'll win Florida and she'll win it by 3 - 5 percentage points. She's gonna have a lot of cross party voters in that state, especially the Cuban-American voters who are breaking to Democrats finally. The No Party Affiliation voters will break for HRC as well because of the high Latino makeup in that category.

Just to put it into perspective. Hillary could lose Ohio, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, Maine, and New Hampshire, yet beat Trump 271-267

With a Florida win, she could afford to lose Michigan, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, yet still win.

Florida, NC, Ohio, Michigan are MUST wins for him and he won't get them. He needed Nevada and that baby is all but gone. Latinos will decide this election in the manner that African Americans did in 2008. She'll win by 320+ electoral college votes. I'm not ready to concede Ohio like some people are. I think she'll squeak it out and get to 341.

Imagine if Trump wasn't the total nutjob he is. If he hadn't said 'grab them by the *****'. If he hadn't been simply dumb - with the same policy ideas as now. He would've easily won. Progressives have always had a majority amongst the youth, but that's because of social issues. The parties get on with the time, and in 10 years from now on we'll see a Republican party that is for LGBT rights. We'll also see a Democratic party that is for recreational usage of weed, and possibly flirting with the idea of legalising ecstacy. We'll see a Democratic party with a president that no longer mentions God, while the Republican party will mention it here and there to engage the quickly declining minority that is hardline Christians.

Conservatives aren't necessarily holding onto the same beliefs they were 40 years ago - they evolve with the time. They're not opposed to changes from 10 years ago, they're opposed to new change. That's why they'll support LGBT rights in 10 years.

My thoughts exactly. The current Trump backers will make a stink for the next couple years until eventually they're resorbed by the Republican Party, just like the Tea Party was. The Republicans will tailor their platform to suit the political climate as need be, and eventually they'll be pretty close to where the Democrats are today (at least on the social issues). Their sharp turn right this year is an aberration, and unless they nominate another Trump-like candidate in 2020, they'll course-correct with a much less fascisty platform.

I doubt the emergence of a viable third party will happen any time in the next few decades. This election could have set the stage for the Libertarians to make a play for it, but they went and picked Johnson as their nominee.

If I'm not mistaken, the drop off has only been seen in NC no? That was likely to be the case because of the limited amounts of early voting polling locations compared to 2012. Not to mention, Obama is not on the ticket
