Not really. Young people shift to the right gradually as they grow older.

To an extent, but the Republicans are going to have a tough time keeping that tradition if they don't adapt. I doubt young voters will stop caring about black rights/LGBT rights, etc.

Furthermore, justifying one because the other doesn't seem as bad doesn't negate the fact that they both suck.

Maybe the FBI will indict Clinton and we get Kaine as POTUS. Kaine isn't so bad. I don't see this as likely but IMO Kaine would be much better than Clinton.

There's no way millennials today are suddenly going to start being okay with denying LGBT rights, being pro life, etc suddenly when they turn 35.

Like I said, both major parties are going to represent the general political scope of the public at the time; they're going to be electing people and championing policies of their constituents.

This is true, but the HUGE difference now is the use of online. We're exposed to so much and can get a better idea of what is going on.

Look at how many millennials on here won't trust CNN and can expose articles that are clearly bias. This generation really isn't here for the typical mainstream media. We're much more likely to get opinions from Twitter, Facebook, online websites. It's not as though as our generation will stop using the internet anytime soon.

And yeah - millennials will remember how backward the Republicans were on social issues, even if they do reform.

Except those won't be the policies of the Republican party when millennials turn 35. Being a conservative would mean other things as would being a liberal. There will be other issues to divide people on a political spectrum.
