Nicki Minaj is OVEREXPOSED. NOTHING IS GOING TO SMASH FROM TRU. Nada, zilch, cero, nothing. She had her chances with PFRR, and blew it. People are tired of her, you have to wait until the next album.

This is complete BS. Track #8 on the Re Up is smashing.
If Nicki was overexposed and people were tired of her, Va Va Voom would not have soared to the top 20 of iTunes and radio based solely on a music video while being paid absolute DUST by Nicki.
And please note, despite Freedom being *****d out at the AMA's, the perfume commercial, the E! Special, getting a music video, etc... it is Va Va Voom that sits at #25 on iTunes to this day.
The REASON Freedom and (most likely) the Re Up is not smashing is because of stupidity. I (and other members of this fan base) told y'all that nothing from the Re Up is going to smash while pop singles remain to be released from PFRR. Any competent person with a functioning brain should have known this.
And if Nicki genuinely plans on releasing Marilyn Monroe (which I think will replace paying Va Va Voom dust for Freedom as the dumbest move of the Roman Reloaded era), y'all need to stop getting excited and prep for more of the same.

Va Va Voom is all this era needed to turn around. From the beginning, it was the song praised by critics and fans and the general public alike. It was the one track on PFRR genuinely suited to follow up Super Bass - the playful and quirky Nicki with that smooth flow, clever rhymes and a hook to die for. Sold the highest when the album dropped, debuting in the 70s on the Hot 100 before it was even a single. Won the poll on MPF asking what the second single should be, even though they were stubborn and went with Pound The Alarm. And now, it's finally a single, being eaten up by fans, radio and the public, perfectly set up to be Nicki's biggest hit and she pays it dust and focuses on a song people clearly don't give a **** about.
But includes it on the Re Up track list
Va Va Voom would have been the true hit everything else since Starships failed to be and Nicki would have been able to properly release one Re Up single at a time to ALL formats without any more of this competing genre ****.
Sucks the pressure got to her first and she stopped thinking like a businesswoman.
