There's a whole bunch of these different influences on Broke With Expensive Taste. When you're from New York you just grow up listening to a little bit of everything and you become this crazy cultured person without actually having gone anywhere, so the album is completely reflective of that. There's uptown Spanish influences, downtown house influences, Brooklyn indie rock influences and UK garage influences, and then there's jazz and punk and all kinds of different things like that.
