I think the Super Bowl gave her a lot of confidence. It was pretty evident in her one-offs last year with the string sections. I don't think the acoustic album is coming until she's like 45, but maybe there will be a song or two that's more singer-songwriter acoustic.
It'll be interesting to see who she works with now that Luke is at least temporarily off limits for acts like Katy (not because of the Kesha lawsuit, but a different, much scarier one for him in a post-Pharrell/Thicke landscape where producers who make a habit out of taking "ideas" from other songs and not really adding anything new to them to further inspire creativity are walking a tightrope...and labels are avoiding them like the plague).

Exactly, OOTB was riding the wave of Kelly/P!nk/whatever other pop rock girls were smashing in 2004-2006. OOTB era might have been even bigger than it was had it been released 1-2 years earlier, dance was coming back by the time it came out (which is probably why HNC outperformed IKAG, because it was more upbeat and danecy than IKAG).
Interesting points and I agree, she seems more realised and confident now, but she still has a way to go. I really hope she does avoid Luke a bit this time and only has 2-3 Luke tracks, at most.

Not writing a song is a better insult than any song she could write or get someone to write for her would ever be.
