I'm a bit worried for Fleur because I didn't feel that spark with her tonight. he performances were still great but I think it's that I didn't really know the songs like I usually do, and for the Alicia song the verse was boring, Her positioning was very bad. I think Stereo Kicks are leaving at this point.
It was quite obvious they gave Andrea the most iconic song choices and put him last so he'll get through next week. So if he's not in the bottom two, I'd hope for SK and Ben, but I'm worried for Lauren or Fleur tonight really. I'm always worried for Fleur tho tbh.
I completely agree with what Simon said to Fleur about some acts just coming on for fame and then doing other stuff like broadway and non-pop star material. I feel like that's what Andrea would do, whereas Fleur/Lauren would be a popstar.
Ben - I didn't really get the appeal. The songs were extremely basic. His attitude just seems so cocky now and it's just he feels like he's too good for Mel's comments. Mel is the most honest of the judges, even if she sometimes has very subjective taste, when it's not about her own act. Eh. I don't think he'll win but i think he needs to be bottom two to teach him not to be a cocky ass tbh.
Lauren - my gorl slayed. Little Mix picked a great song for her. The production reminded me so much of Cher Lloyd and that's the potential I saw in her when she performed at auditions/bootcamp. It was shaky but she couldn't even sing yesterday so it's fair. The second performance though gave me SHIVERS. I just haven't seen her perform a ballad like that in ages. All the ballads were recently kinda ****. So DYWC was a great song. I'd be here for Little Mix performing with Lauren in the final so I hope she makes it.
Stereo Kicks - can they **** off now. They shoulda been out ages ago. The audience is so annoying when the teen girls shouting for the twinks. i mean i would too but they're trash. Their performances were dull, boring and just nauseating. I also despise Bruno Mars. The high parts in that were so off-key. GTFO.
Fleur - queen.
I can't fault her. There was something missing but I didn't know the tina song. Proud Mary would have been a far better song choice. Come and slay me with that Rachel Adejiji song instead. The Alicia song was boring during the verses (but that's just the song itself) and I didn't recognise it until the chorus, which she SMASHED. I was mesmerized when she reached the end. She looked stunning too, actually she always does, so everyone use your votes on the most talented contestant in years. I also just want to say I'm so MAD they chose that ****** Alicia song and not Family Portrait which is my second favorite P!nk song
Andrea - WOW. Chandelier was a wonderful song choice. He did great. If I'm completely honest, that was the best performance of the night. i loved everything about it and I'm not a big fan of Andrea. Hero was a predictable but good song choice, and I can tell he's been waiting all season to sing this song. It's my favorite Mariah song ever and he was sort of shaky but he did a great job. I do think they gave him the best songs that Fleur could have been better suited for than the irrelevant songs she got, and put him last to keep him in, but tbh based on those performances he doesn't deserve to leave this week anyway.
