Her voice sounds weird at some points, but I like her vocals at the end. And compared to her oh so sexual songs this is good. Definitely a step in the right direction if you ask me! And this song actually has some meaningful message to it. Not bad!
I'll never understand why people always complain about artists releasing generic song, but when someone release something original and beutiful (like TSI, 4 and Diamonds) everybody says that is awful and all this stuff!

I hate it when people do this. Like make up your mind, do you want them to be original and full of quality or not?
I can hear it. Like what I was saying about the Katy Perry phrasing, she's obviously changed the way she's singing and pronouncing the words. It's not like Diamonds sounds like ________ by Lana Del Rey but more like Rihanna sounds like Lana Del Rey in Diamonds. She's singing a little within herself like Lana, coo-ing style. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe not. But just because someone hears and you don't doesn't mean it's wrong. It's not as if whoever posted about it just now was the first one to bring it up and I bet they won't be the last.

I will defend that opinion, I also think it's Lana Del Reyish of course popped down and Rihanna won't do all that pouting.
