The competition is fun, while yes it is sad that our records were taken away (we worked so damn hard for it too, ugh) it is only the very beginning. I hate it when people say "Gaga is more successful than Britney
" because that is like admitting the throne is taken from her. Which is not the case. There are many factors that come into play - peaks, sales, awards, tour gross, etc. Britney has been rivaled against Xtina, Avril, Jessica, Pink, etc. yet has surpassed them in relevance and importance despite them being more successful than her during their peaks. We have just been spoiled being #1 always, but sometimes when you have stiff competition and you get to that place it is more rewarding in the end.
