Yeah, I've never understood the hate for The Art Of Letting God, apart from the vocabulary in the lyrics being a bit extra at times.
Oh I understood why they hated it. Their faves have been singing s h i t songs with 0 lyrical capability so they weren't used to singers having an actual vocabulary to deal with. It confused their tiny brains. When you listen to the likes of Selena Gomez then all of a sudden hear The Art Of Letting Go, your mind almost combusts because you are receiving an immeasurable amount of quality and education, the likes of which you never knew existed. It's like when deaf people are finally able to hear for the first time after years, except in this instance instead of being happy and excited like a normal person, these cretons rebel against it because quality is something they don't understand and it scares them to death.
I like the strings. The bridge is amazing. The vocal line on "down" in the chorus is wonderful. And the climax is nice.
