The teacher gave us each an assignment based on our talents, mine being singer-songwriter. I have until February 20 to write and record an 11 track album. This includes writing and co-writing songs, finding producers, album artwork and whole. I'm so excited.

You were off-key at some points but overall I like it. I'll be in touch.

Say Something is essentially all of the three b's; bland, basic and just plain bad.
Stay is exponentially better but I'd still rather Kesha not go for something so sappy. I'd need a ballad that has more heart, more grit, more soul. Just my opinion.

But a Kesha version of Stay would automatically have more heart and soul.

Well yeah but the lyrics themselves are so surface level. Hence it being a song written by Mikky Ekko yet sung by Rihanna. It's not personal at all.

Stay is so bland. It could literally be sung by anybody. Where is the personality?
This is why I could never stan for someone who doesn't write their own music

Apart from Miley, but I stan for her more as a person rather than her music, which is rather hit or miss to me

Agreed.

I'm still kinda bummed at how the Animal era was handled. Kesha's whole career has been handled so poorly. It's ridiculous that they didn't milk the Animal era for all it was worth. Sorry for those that don't like long posts, but you'll just have to deal with this one and accept the scalding hot chamomile that I'm about to serve here hihi
Ultimate Kesha Timeline:
January 2009: Kesha gets her break on Flo Rida's hit Right Round. The song smashes and goes straight to #1. Kesha isn't credited on the song in the US initially (but it still counts as a #1 for ha hihi)
August 2009: Kesha releases her debut single TiK ToK. The single becomes a worldwide smash hit, breaks tons of records, sells heaps etc. etc. the song slays all the way into 2010 becoming one of the biggest hits of that year too. AKA total domination.
January 2010: Kesha's debut album, Animal, is released worldwide. Again, it tops heaps of countries' charts and slays, including the Billboard Hot 100.
Blah Blah Blah, an album track from Animal, receives strong digital success and therefore charts in many countries despite not being an actual single.
February 2010: Kesha releases music video for Blah Blah Blah in promotion of Animal - Blah Blah Blah is not sent to radios as an official single from Animal.
March 2010: Kesha releases the second official single from Animal, Your Love Is My Drug. The song tops the US charts the week of April 24, 2010, where it stays atop the charts for a total of two weeks (between Rihanna's Rude Boy and B.o.B / Bruno's Nothin' On You). It stays in the Top 10 for 20 weeks.
June 2010: Kesha releases the third official single from Animal, Take It Off. The song is a hit worldwide, peaking at #2 on the US charts for four weeks, blocked by California Gurls and Love The Way You Lie. It stays in the Top 10 for 16 weeks.
August 2010: Kesha releases the fourth official single from Animal, Kiss N Tell. The song is a moderate hit worldwide, peaking at #5 on the US charts for one week, and staying in the Top 10 for 10 weeks.
October 2010: Kesha releases the fifth official single from Animal, Backstabber. The song is a moderate hit worldwide, peaking at #9 on the US charts for two weeks, and staying in the Top 10 for 4 weeks.
December 2010: Kesha releases the sixth and final single from Animal, Animal. The song is a smash hit worldwide, topping the charts in multiple countries, and is critically praised for providing a different sound for Kesha. The single tops the charts in the US for six weeks, from January to February 2011.
February 2011: Kesha announces that she is working on new music for an upcoming album and has been doing so since the end of 2010.
May 2011: Kesha releases lead single from new album, We R Who We R. The single tops the charts upon release due to strong digital downloads, and later hits the top of the charts again for two more weeks in the US. Also becomes a huge hit WW.
August 2011: Kesha release second single from new album, Till The World Ends. The single becomes a huge WW hit, topping many charts worldwide, but peaking at #2 in the US for one week, blocked by Moves Like Jagger and Someone Like You.
September 2011: Kesha releases new album Cannibal, which tops the charts worldwide (including in the US) thanks to its highly successful singles.
November 2011: Kesha releases third single from Cannibal, The Harold Song. Similarly to Animal, the song is received very well by critics and commercially it becomes one of Kesha's biggest hits, topping the charts for five weeks between 2011 and 2012 and the success of We Found Love and Sexy And I Know It.
February 2012: Kesha releases fourth single from Cannibal, Blow. The song becomes a hit worldwide, and a smash hit in the US, peaking at #4 on the Billboard charts, following the success of her previous singles.
June 2012: Kesha releases fifth and final single from Cannibal, Shots On The Hood Of My Car. The song becomes both a smash hit worldwide and in the US. Critics praise the similarities to pervious single Till The World Ends, and the song's popularity is fuelled by a viral video that is relevant due to the upcoming December 21, 2012 date. It peaked at #2 in the US, and was blocked by Call Me Maybe.
July 2012: Kesha announces that she has been working on her upcoming album to be released before the end of the year, and that new music would be coming soon.
August 2012: Kesha releases the lead single from new album, Woo Hoo. The lead single takes on a rockier direction than her previous singles. This new direction is received very well and the song tops the charts worldwide, including spending three non-consecutive weeks at #1 in the US, battling it out Flo Rida's Whistle and Taylor Swift's We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
October 2012: Kesha releases the second single from the new album, Supernatural. The single is released just in time for the Halloween season, and is an EDM track, which is becoming more and more popular at the time. The song, assisted by its Halloween-inspired music video, rockets to the top of the charts in the US, beating out Maroon 5's One More Night also for three weeks. The song is a WW smash.
January 2013: Kesha releases the new album Warrior. The album is a commercial success, and tops the charts worldwide and in the US for two weeks, outselling Red in its ninth and tenth weeks on the chart.
February 2013: Kesha releases the third single from Warrior, Last Goodbye. The single becomes a WW hit, again critics praising the song, and it tops the charts for 1 week before being blocked by Thrift Shop and Harlem Shake.
May 2013: Kesha releases the fourth single from Warrior, Die Young. The song is received well worldwide, with some comparing the song to her earlier singles, but with her newer sound. The song peaks at #2 in the US, blocked by Can't Hold Us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
August 2013: Kesha releases the fifth and final single from Warrior, Thinking Of You. The song is a moderate hit worldwide and is another top ten hit in the US for Kesha, peaking at #8 for two weeks, staying in the Top 10 for a total of five weeks.
October 2013: Kesha releases her collaboration with Pitbull, Timber. The song becomes a worldwide smash hit, topping the charts all over the globe, and becoming the first new #1 hit of 2014, where it tops the charts for three weeks in 2014.
January 2014: Kesha checks into rehab. You know the rest.
March 2014: Kesha leaves rehab, moves to LA, and begins process to end contract with Dr. Luke.
March 2014 - August 2014: Kesha is writing, recording and finalising material for her fourth studio album, her first without participation with Dr. Luke.
September 2014: Lead single from the new album.
December 2014: Second single from the new album.
January 2015: New album released.

Some of those peaks seem rather optimistic tbh. Specifically Animal
And if BBB was handled the way you said for it to be you know damn well everybody would be complaining about how it was mishandled and was the smash that got away

Slightly confused as to why you included rehab too if that was the list of how you wanted Keshas career to be handled

The entire thing is super optimistic.
And haters gonna hate. It's probably true, but we've lived through the reality, and it was definitely better off as a slay album track than one of her least successful singles.
...
At the end of the day Dr. Luke was still doing that to ha behind the scenes and rehab was going to happen eventually. It was what was best for Kesha at that point in time. I tried to keep it somewhat realistic while giving her more slayage than she actually has.

Basic points for the tl;dr folks in here, the Animal era could have been milked more, around six singles would be perfect, Cannibal should have been a full album released in mid-2011, and Warrior should have been released in early-2013 with a lot of the original material she had for the album.
