Well let's be honest, from 19 to 21 Adele has been able to build on a much more powerful musical structure. Sure.
Gaga's been able to evolve her sound though, and even though many may say that she copied her structures from certain songs it's safe to say that the songs are very much so different and experimental from a lot of the other POP albums. Why do people assume that because an artist uses sad flowing music that it means they have the upper hand musically?
Edit: Born This Way is pushing boundaries. It's pretentious, it's what many pop girls wish they could do. Which is expand and be able to write their OWN material without having to be confined to a genre box.
