Random (Kesha) Thoughts:
FKA twigs' album is good, I like it.
Ariana Grande's album is great, I like it. Better than 'Yours Truly' overall, which was great too.
Alexandra Stan's album is flawless. Actually the best album of 2014 so far for me. What a surprise.
Also, Alexandra Stan is pretty amazing. Like, looks aside (obvs she's hot af) she's just great. I know she doesn't write her music, but she's from Romania, I wouldn't expect her to. It's great that she can sing in English as good as she does. Plus, her accent >>>>> 'Unlocked' definitely feels much more like an album than 'Saxobeats'. Plus, she's always ahead of the game. She was using brass (saxophone) in her songs since 2009, which obviously has become increasingly popular in 2014. Also, her song "Lemonade" uses harmonica, which was also used in "Timber" and became a big smash this year too. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if some of the songs on 'Unlocked' have a sound that will be big in a couple years' time. I don't listen to much K-pop or J-pop, but a lot of people think that the album is inspired by that genre. But I think that Electropop may be coming back in a couple of years. I don't know, I just gotta feeling.
Sorry for the rambling, but I do have a point. I'd love for Kesha's next album to be electropop again. I know I'll probably get dragged for that opinion, but I'm not talking about an album full of TiK ToK's. Kesha can keep the electropop, electronic sound, and just get rid of the trashy party image. No party songs. But electronic songs can still slay and have meaning. That's what I'd love to see and hear. Not necessarily a complete departure from her sound.
