Just because you don't know Roger Friedman doesn't make him unreliable. He was the first to give us some exact lyrics for Skyfall. At the 2013 Oscars he talked with Adele very briefly about her third album but back then she said that "I'm a full time mum at the moment." Yeah i know abt his tea on Skyfall, i expected him to be one of the first who would know/speak about her deal since he's apparently an important insider, yet "The Sun" out of all was the one who broke the news
