I'd really love Katheryn to put out a song like this. It's kind of a natural progression from the vibe Dark Horse and Legendary Lovers was going for. It's still undeniably pop, but it's a little darker too.

Next era is gonna be so interesting to watch. I really wonder where her head is at in terms of sounds she wants to try. I just want her to deliver lyrically.
PRISM era was shaping up to be really different and groundbreaking for her from the way the album was announced to the teasers and imagery... but then she released Roar.
We even got some second hopes from DH and WoA but then the rest of the era happened.
The entire lead up to Roar/PRISM was great. Roar was also a great lead. But the two didn't go together. It was a mixed message and I think it left everyone a little confused. She seemed to be going in a darker direction, and then Roar came out as TD era 2.0 and it was a little odd.
Hopefully the marketing is on poinT next time round.

And as hurricane said, the GP loves Katy for her music. She's not known for her perfumes, magazine covers or endorsements. If she keeps making good music, she'll keep being on top. Headlining the SUPERBOWL was a self-confirmation for her. She knows her position in the music industry and that makes her next era so interesting. Which direction is she going to take? Producers? Lyricists? Promotion plan? Public image? I'm excited GP is too busy with Adele at the moment so Q3 2016 would be the best period to release her album.
I'm actually starting to think that Adele has been a blessing. Katy clearly isn't ready to go any time soon, and as long as Adele is dominating everyone and everything it's not smart to release. Katy can take her time and make sure that the quality is controlled and up to standard without any chance of "missing her window" because releasing within the first half of the year would be a bad move anyway.
I think by the time summer came around the GP would be ready for something a little more fun and lighthearted. I'd like a June single and August album.

Let's be real about the Super Bowl - nobody knows why the hell it happened and it was out of the blue, and unprecedented for a pop girl just 6 and a half years into her mainstream career. It definitely had a major impact on her career, and a positive one.
With the beginning of the Prism era and the "dark" stuff, I think it was mostly just a joke and that fact didn't necessarily translate well.
Dead at her cover of White Christmas shooting up to her third most streamed song atm (till it drops out in a few days ) Not bad at it having 4.5M streams
She was by far the most-referenced popstar on TV shows this year. Nearly all the shows I've watched (a lot :jonny) talk about the "feud" or her being too girly/childish with the occasional Firework reference.
She definitely needs to tone it down tbh.
Also, I'm really disappointed at her not pushing Ferras. It would've been huge to have a successful artist under her label.

If Benny doesn't like it, America won't like it, right? ITT is flawless, it deserved to be the last single performed at the GRAMMYs. It would have been a sort of answer to Taylor's feud at that time, too. Mature queen
