You can't put it that way, Red was the only country AOTY nominee yet it didn't win one single grammy including country album
Red got the AOTY nom because it was one of the best albums, but lost the Best Country Album because the voters thought it was not COUNTRY enough, if that makes sense.

Do you guys think the fact that Taylor's albums are always 1.5 years old by the time the Grammys (which she's eligible for) air could slightly ruin her chance since her album would be relatively old and not as fresh?

Music industry should show some respect to artist like Taylor and Adele, they give MUSIC and its INDUSTRY hope, Taylor deserves her second AOTY, 1989 is LITERALLY the ALBUM OF THE YEAR. I also don't mind Taylor pave the road for Adele's 2 AOTYs in a row, they should reflect the reality, not making awards too political. AT LEAST, FOR TAYLOR AND ADELE PLEASE.

You are right, but at the same time, 1989's impressive domination and LONGEVITY is also an undeniable fact, that's why it's LITERALLY THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
