I think the romanization actually works really well, but you have to have an almost equal knowledge of hangul and the sounds to use it. Although I had a pretty good grasp on it from putting an emphasis on pronunciation when I tried teaching myself and singing songs/raps, going to one of the best Korean language schools didn't hurt. We spent 2 hours a day alone just on that.
And I thought that said thot instead of trot too.
