I can sing SJJD before I can sing SNSD, so I guess Japanese is easier for me.

I think that japanese is easier. Maybe because I used to stan for my japanese girls first before I got into Kpop I like the korean language now but I remember thinking that every song sounded the same

Their Japanese songs are way easier to learn for me, especially on the GIRLS&PEACE album which is half in English. Gossip Girls is hard to learn though.
The Korean lyrics are so difficult to me, even when romanized, literally nothing is pronounced as it's written. I have to hear the song like 20 times before I start to get a grip of the lyrics.
The only Korean songs I can pronounce very well are Ice Cream by HyunA and The Boys by SNSD, and even then I can't do the rap part. That Athena bit is so tricky.
I know the Japanese lyrics to all their remake singles, Genie, Gee, Hoot, RDR, Oh! etc. but not the Korean ones.

I'm with Zack.
I can sing the hell out of Genie JPN, especially Taeyeon's part at the end. But I can literally only sing Taeyeon and Jessica's part in the beginning of Genie KOR. The rest is downhill after that.

Oh my god I feel like the only one being able to """understand""" Korean now. Japanese seems so hard to me.
I started learning Korean on my own back in 2004/2005 then took Korean classes, it helped me a lot.
I think the harddest thing about Korean is learning how to read hangul, then it's like any other languages. You just need vocabulary and training.

Same.
I prefer to sing the background lyrics though.
Kono mune wo kogasu Music
Hajimari ha Automatic
Tada hitori kimi wa Magic
Kanaetehoshii

Eh, JPN was easier to pick up on but since I listen to the Korean version more I can sing that way better than I ever could hope to with it in Japanese. I think it all depends on which versions of songs you listen to more.

I'm with the people who find it easier to pronounce/memorize Japanese better than Korean. Korean romanized words honestly look like a jumble of letters randomly mixed together...well Japanese is like that too, but Korean looks like an even bigger mess.

That's why you should learn how to read Hangul tbh.

My main issue with hangul when reading the romanisation is making pronunciation mistakes because my dialect. Like in a word like "nogajimyeon" for ages I would automatically pronounce the G like "gee" instead of "huh".

Korean romanization is the pits. At least with Japanese romaji things sound like how they're written. With Korean I'd rather just read the hangul

I mean this is pretty much true. Sans 'fu's and whatnot, Kana is pretty straightforward with its romanisations.
Although once you learn the pronunciations of Hangul it's not too bad, but it helps to hear the word before trying to pronounce it because some of those double letters and 'eo's for "o" are annoying at first.

It looks like A Pink's Eunji is going to be the next idol girl group member to debut as a solo artist this year!
Thanks to her great live performances in current drama 'Trot Lovers,' people have been speculating whether she will be releasing a trot album. However, her agency, A Cube Entertainment, revealed that she will indeed be releasing a solo album, but it will not be in the genre of trot.
The rep stated, "It is true we received an offer to release a trot album. However, we have no intention to do that, at all. We think that her image in the drama must stay within the drama. We want to protect Eunji's identity as a member of A Pink and a singer of trendy music. Currently, Eunji is preparing for her solo debut. We have not yet decided on the release date, but you will be able to hear it within this year."

EDIT: WAIT. How is APink's music trendy when it is LITERALLY music sampled from year 2000 and SNSD's 2007 b-sides? I mean it bops but still.
