Yes. I can kinda understand why though. It allows for next week's tracking to start with a higher position on iTunes which could be a good thing but the loss of the views from Day 1 compared to Day 8 could off-set that. It's not really going to make a difference either way.
It's actually really smart to release it today.
First day views will skyrocket it's streams for THIS WEEKS Hot 100 position.
Then it will have a full week as a relatively new video to gather more streaming for the week after.
+ rising radio and sales for a full week as well.

I guess it's fine assuming the song's overall peak wouldn't have been next week (with the video released on Friday)...I hope its peak is still yet to come, in August or so
