I know your memory maybe a little foggy, but despite the nostalgia, theres more to Emancipation than just the singles.... don't forget the entire dated & boring middle of it.

Still not buying the high note talk. MIAM served melodies, songwriting, and themes that reflected her artistry and persona and were actually meaningful. She could've gargled over them and I'd take it over the bland ass vocal moments of AAO or Vulnerability Interlude or whatever the ****. Like the actual music > hitting some E5s here n there

DFAU is not a rehash of WBT, it stands on its own

I've said it before, musically the album is fantastic and one of her strongest, its just sad the time that it happened because vocally she wasn't at her best and was going thru some tough ****. It could have taken it to another level had she been in the voice she is in now. Ofc that doesn't matter /that/ much because I'd much rather do a full listen of MIAMTEC than Shitrow anyday of the week

Well yeah I prefer DFAU over WBT but still!

For me the music aspect of MIAM is enough to make it her absolute best. But I'm glad we could agree on the things that matter, there's something so comforting about the solidarity in hating ROYGBIV What a shame for a gay icon
