I genuinely love sitting on my rooftop in NYC, watching as the sun sets below the skyline, white wine in hand, music playing through my speakers, with my lesbian lover next to me. My adult friends (25+) love Perfect Illusion. AH, I remember when Rise was released. Monday morning after a scandalous two nights out downtown and everybody was hungover (secular governments ftw!) We dragged ourselves into our finance jobs and everybody looked aghast during Rise's monotonous chorus; I would call it melancholic but it's more deathly, like, something you'd hear as a terrorist approaches you.
