Literally nothing was planned at all in my eyes. That's the most annoying part of this whole era; we waited years and yet they're literally flying by the seat of their pants

I think the whole unplanned part stemmed from her actual album getting rejected though... But yeah Venus was definitely a last minute add.

Don't get consumed in ATRL hivemind - we can all think for ourselves and enjoy the performance if we want to. It's polarizing and definitely killed off any fans on the edge but it really helped some of realize how much we love this free bitch.

The lowdown of what fake/true tea has been spilled the past few months: the single order was supposed to go Aura - Venus/Botticelli Babe - G.U.Y. It would've kept the Greek god theme (which Artpop was probably originally centered around) and given us something established. Do What U Want became the second single instead of Venus which I am pretty sure threw Gaga into a meltdown and started wearing appalling outfits until she thought it was best.
Now that everything is finished, who can even say for sure G.U.Y. is still the single? It could be anything honestly. A track from her app or the new lead single? Summerboy? Didn't the news say the video wouldn't be released until October but we all ignored it?
